The Spartan Races are among the most famous obstacle races in Europe. Every year they stop in different cities in Italy, attracting thousands of athletes per location.
The organizers expressed the need to have a high-performance and highly reliable temporary connection both for the use of staff in the registration, merchandising and awards areas and for the live streaming timing of participants’ times.
For the staff connection, the need was to support several devices connected simultaneously ; for the timing area, the need was a connection with very high reliability and very low latency . All with the guarantee of having a connectivity without any interruption in every location.
Our solution: differentiated and high-performance connectivity, specific needs satisfied
Spartan Race has entrusted us with the stages of Misano Adriatico , Cesenatico and Gubbio . In each of the three stages we have activated a high-performance connection depending on the technologies available in the area.
For the Gubbio stage, where it was not possible to use either fiber technologies or radio bridges, we provided a highly reliable connection through the use of satellite .
In each location, we used Peplink technologies to manage connections in a reliable and secure way , responding to the specific needs of the client both in terms of connectivity for staff use and that dedicated to timekeeping.

Through our technological solutions we were able to guarantee a highly reliable and high-performance connection in all locations . Furthermore, our network differentiation system allowed the organizers to respond to the specific needs of the event.
As regards the connectivity for staff use in the registration, merchandising and awards areas, we have guaranteed a connection capable of supporting several users and several devices simultaneously without interruptions or slowdowns .
Similarly, the network dedicated to the timing area allowed the functions requested by the organizers to be carried out, ensuring a connection with very low latency and very high reliability for the live streaming transmission of data.

Spartan Race has been a Eurocom customer for the Riviera Romagnola stages since 2019. The trusting relationship tested with Spartan Race in the Romagna stages has allowed us to expand our support to a more complex location like Gubbio.
Although the accessibility difficulties were greater, thanks to our customized technological solutions , we were able to not only activate connectivity, but also differentiate it by responding to the specific needs of the event .
As with the other stages, we provided ad hoc solutions , ensuring optimal performance and reliability despite the complexities of the context. The result was strategic and technologically advanced support , in continuity with the partnership built with Spartan Race over time.
The Gubbio stage consolidated a strategic collaboration, demonstrating how, even in difficult situations, our capabilities can offer excellent responses, progressively expanding the perimeter of our support.
